Poojan Shukla, BS
Medical Student
I was born and raised in the Bay Area and graduated from UC Berkeley in 2021 with a BS in bioengineering and minor in electrical engineering and computer science. At Berkeley, I studied the role of CD44 in facilitating glioblastoma invasion using hydrogel matrices in Dr. Sanjay Kumar’s laboratory. During my undergraduate studies, I developed an interest in brain computer interfaces and neuromodulation which has motivated me to pursue projects in the lab investigating the neurophysiology of the spinal cord and mechanisms of dynamic postural control during turning. Outside of the lab I enjoy running, hiking, and exploring the city.
