Ken Louie, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow
I received my PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, where I worked in the Neural Netoff Laboratory and Motor Neurophysiology Laboratory. For my doctoral studies I explored methods to improve deep brain stimulation in Parkinson’s disease patients. Specifically, I tested a method for stimulation parameter optimization and a novel stimulation delivery approach aimed to improve gait. I am interested in the relationships between brain activity and motor behavior, and I want to use that information to improve deep brain stimulation in Parkinson’s disease. In my spare time I like to climb rocks and ski!
